Prepare to be playful with Nicole Bridger’s F/W 2011 collection

17 Mar Untitled

Remember how much fun you had as a kid when you would play dress-up in your mother’s closet and – ever so creatively – combine her draped dressed with your favorite purple tights and somehow walk away looking absolutely fabulous? Well…so does Nicole Bridger.

Playing off of that perfect partnership between youthful creativity and feminine maturity, Nicole’s F/W 2011 collection mixed sheer and chic fabrics with playful colours and exotic styles to create the ideal image for any young modern woman looking to unite these two worlds.

Sheer tops were paired with feminine skirts and structured sweaters while draped dresses got the dainty cardigans and chunky belts. Every look however, no matter what the style or color combo, was finished off with playful accessories including  colorful leggings and chunky heels. A perfect pairing of pieces to tell the world   ‘ never take yourself too serious’.

Chic in the City – Sofia EFW 2011

5 Mar

While the majority of shows hitting the EFW runway on Wednesday the 2nd offered a very casual and earthy vibe, one collection went against the grain by  showing an a collection full of clean lines and idealistic elegance -  Sofia Clothing. As she transformed the catwalk from an evening stroll along the seawall to a glamorous trout down the city streets, Sofia closed the 7:00 show with a chic sophistication not yet seen by Wednesday’s crowd. Pleasing audience members with a collection that was so quintessentially Sofia in its clean yet sexy demeanor, this fall 2011 line-up was filled with  sheer tops, tailored coats,  pleated dresses and puckered pants. Feminine and minimalist in everything from the models sleek straight hair and fresh faces to clean lines and subtle trims, Sofia’s 2011 collection left crowd members starry eyed from start to finish.

cut & SHOW- Where Buyers Go!

31 Aug

With new clothing brands starting up everyday, surprisingly, it’s becoming increasingly difficult for retail buyers to connect with reps and brands in a quick and easy way. cut & SHOW is an online fashion community that allows retailers to search and find information about brands, tradeshows and how to find the sales rep closest to them.

In addition, brands, tradeshows and reps are able to market their business to retail buyers and fashion press in a fun and professional setting. Which is why the winner of Generation Next is getting a free years membership in their prize package!

When the lucky winner builds a brand profile on cut & SHOW she will be able to create her own branded web site where she can list her contact information, sales reps, the tradeshows that she attends and more. cut & SHOW is viewed by retail buyers, sales representatives, distributors, brands managers and fashion press!
